Maritime and Personal Injury
Our maritime and Personal Injury Department coordinates all maritime and personal injury related cases. Maritime law governs financing and construction of vessels,
loading of vessels, movement of vessels, goods, passengers and crews from a body of navigable waters to another. This department handles cases of injuries and deaths caused by offshore
accidents and negligence. A majority of maritime personal injury cases in the United States, is governed by Jones Act, a federal law that provides for benefits to workers who are
injured on vessels - including oil rigs. Whether you are a seaman, an officer, a harbor pilot, an oil worker, a technician, a helicopter pilot, work on a tug boat, barge, ship, supply
boat, semi-submersible drilling rigs, jack up drilling rigs or if you become injured while working offshore or near navigable water, you may be eligible to pursue a claim under the
Jones Act. We also handle auto accidents related claims in this department.
